Search major UN statistical databases and those of several international organizations. Most data is annual. Union List of Artist Names Online (ULAN)
A part of The Getty Vocabularies, ULAN is intended to provide terminology and other information about the objects, artists, concepts, and places important to various disciplines that specialize in art, architecture and material culture. The ULAN includes proper names and associated information about artists.

Universal Digital Library
Access to over 1 million digitized books.  Most titles are in Chinese or English, but other languages are included, such as Arabic.

US Census Bureau Maps and Cartographic Resources
Government agencies are an excellent source for GIS data layers; the US Census provides one example of free GIS data.

U.S. export and import data for over 18,000 commodities with 240 trading partners, using the Harmonized System (HS) up to the 10-digit level and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes up to the 6-digit level.
